Episodes 246-260: Return To The Land Of Water & Hidden Mist Village Arc Part 2
- 246:Boruto experiences his 1st heavy loss of 1 of his friends from the Land Of Water of the Village of the Hidden Mist being Kagura, with Buntan, Kyoho & Hebiichigo at a loss from his passing plus their main mission still at hand, the Mizukage of the Hidden Mist awaits on the Funato Clan to make there next move.
- 247:Members of Team 5 & 7 are still in Kaguras childhood home, now working as a team alongside Buntan, Kyoho & Hebiichi, who took a loss at Kagura’s death, as this is happening the Funato Clan leader in the area is still seeking revenge for what happened to Lady Seiren, Ikadas sister.
- 248:Sarada has prepared the teams for another fierce battle to happen against the remaining Funato Clan pirates, with the help of Team 5, plus Kaguras prisoners who he released to fight at there peak, Hebiichigo, Kyoho & Buntan also tries to give some words of advice of their own of what they do when going into battle to the hidden leaf members.
- 249:As the Hidden Leaf Shinobi are at Kaguras childhood village, as to taking a heavy loss in protecting the village, 2 Leaf Shinobi have gone missing & expected to be dead, whilst this is happening they have come across an injured Funato Clan Pirate hoping to obtain information on Denki & Iwabe location should they be alive.
- 250:Ikada is meeting up with a Funato clan friend by the name of Kobuna, who shows off his talent for using pipe darts, with the discussion around the Funato Pirate Clan members, some have seen how the head of the Clan in allegorical sense has his head in the clouds, don’t complete trust his judgements in situations even to the things they want, as this takes place before Kobuna goes to Kaguras childhood village.
- 251:Boruto has heard the truth about Ikada, learning how he is apart of the Funato Clan, as things back with Mizukage they have gotten word, that some members of the Funato desire to meet up with them for a discussion, with caution in the wind & waves, as news reaches the Hidden Leaf members in Kaguras childhood village, Boruto gets a big reality check on who he thought could be his friend.
- 252:The Mizukage has been forced into a War again, against the Funato, after the death of one of the Funato Clan in front of his eyes, Team 7 minus Kawaki, have sought some help to attempt to reach Ikada & to end the War, with some help from Ikadas boss Kajiki, the Funato Clan leader has also place Ikada in complete Leadership to take down the Hidden Mist.
- 253:The Mizukage has entrusted Boruto to help end the war between the Funato & Hidden Mist, one obstacle is in his way, that being able to persuade Ikada to end this war, so no more lives can be lost on either side.
- 254:Boruto in his desperation to end the war between the Funato Clan & the Hidden Mist, has offered to lay his life down as a Sacrifice to bring peace to the region, Kobuna is present with Ikada as this happens, we also learn that Kawaki though silent behind the scenes has managed to get onto the mobile fortress, which has the Chakra Cannon.
- 255:The Land Of Water mission is over for the members of the Hidden Leaf who have now returned home, with some stubbornness seen between Boruto & Kawaki, in regards to how the war ended in with the Hidden Mist between the Funato Clan, a long with some unanswered questions about members of the Funato.
- 256:Team 10 have been put on a new mission care to the help of Shikadai, who is following suspect named Jingo, who has been getting into getting weapons, an is known to be a rogue shinobi, they learn that the person they have been chasing has been pardoned of his crimes & has now transformed his life into being a Chef.
- 257:Naruto has won a family trip to the Hot Springs care of Himawari, in the process committed himself to a film project that he is unable to fulfill, Konohamaru has offered to take his place as Hokage, as Naruto enjoys the trip with his family.
- 258:The Uzumaki family end up traveling to the Hot Springs Inn, where Kakashi & Might Guy went on there Journey with one of the Jonin, as things progress the family try to settle in to enjoy there time there with some unexpected surprises.
- 259:Team 7 have been put on a mission to which a suspect is targeting Wind users in the village, as Mizuki opens up about there return home from the Hidden Mist, his Cat has gone missing, only to find the cat being entertained from someone of a Hidden Leaf Vet Clinic.
- 260:Boruto is helping out Kakkashi with some of his chores, only to get caught up with Old City Vs New City dispute between shop owners from both, plus an arranged Marriage connected between relatives connected to the stores, will this problem be solved before things get out of hand.
Afterthoughts
Wow, these next 15 episodes have had some good parts, as well as a bit of a drag in some places.
So I’ll start off with the 1st 5 episodes that start us with the death of Kagura, a friend to which the Hidden Leaf shinobi had become good friends, seeing what his childhood village meant to him, as things progressed in this story, we had 1 to 2 somewhat last attacks against the Shinobi protecting that village, no doubt there were losses on both sides, until we learn that 1 loss is also connected to the child of 1 of the Funato Clan leaders to which it makes an deep impact on Boruto, at it reflects in his character, that you can see how his dad Naruto has influenced him in not wanting to see war in any region of the Ninja World.
As we move into the next 5 episodes Boruto learns a truth about someone he made a friend with, not knowing at the time he was 1 of the Funato offspring, learning this from the Mizukage, a plan is devised to help put an end to the war between the Hidden Mist Ninja Vs the Funato Pirates, 1 thing I did like about this plan is that Boruto was trying to reach the heart of the new friend he made, by sacrificing his life, so the Hidden Mist & Funato could both come to a peaceful agreement, as things started to calm down after this war, Ikada was reunited with his Boss Kajiki, but left to start from scratch due to all the things that happened in the war, until eventually the Hidden Leaf Shinobi also returned home as well.
With the last 5 episodes of these 15, we get a bit of a funny mission involving Team 10 looking for a suspect who is involved in some arms dealing behind the scenes, it was good to see some of the behind the scenes missions involving Shikadai, how even Inojin & ChoCho had there own mission which Shikadai gave them ended up reuniting in the process to help a Chef out in the 1st ep, the next episode centered on Konohamaru, whilst Naruto was away with his family, an got to catch up with in the following episode as they were at the Hot Springs Inn, Konahamaru had to take the role of Hokage to meet an appointment to which Naruto was unable to make, this is probably 1 of the better episodes around his character, whilst moving into the next episode we got to see the Uzumaki family, inc Kawaki enjoying some family fun together at the Hot Springs Inn, there were some crazy antics, an some really nice wholesome moments.
Jumping to the 2nd last episode, we got to explore a little more around the character of Mizuki, plus his missing cat, whilst Team 7 were on a mission to find someone who was leaving slice marks, who you learn the victims were looking for a suspect who bore a scar on there chest, Mizuki definitely shone in this episode even with his own detective skills, as he worked out who the people were who were responsible for the action, to even finding the suspect they were looking for at the end of the episode.
As we finally move into the last episode of these 15 episodes being reviewed here, it almost reminded me a little of the Romeo & Juliet story, and I really enjoyed the changes they put into the story around Boruto & Kakashi, trying to help out some elderly friends who had a falling out, it was up to Boruto to help reunite them back together, this was definitely a great way to end & begin at episode 160 to begin to set things up for the next lot of upcoming episodes which I’ll be reviewing in my spare time.
So now for the overall ratings of these episodes, I once again enjoyed the voice acting, as well the main & supporting characters , plus animation, the Hidden Mist story did drag for longer than I expected, at least they made sure to tie up loose ends in it.
