How did this fall into this category?
Of an upcoming comic of this week, that really captured my attention, it was this one of “The Death Defying Devil”, I also loved the look of some of the variant covers, to which I only managed to get the regular, I’d still would like to get the variants I like.
Lets look at the good points.
Good Points:
- Location
- Time
Now the Bad Points.
Bad Points:
- No Nothing About the Main Character.
- No Backstory
- Bad Choice Of Villains, the Fat Lazy Pandering Type Of Villains, no Pun intended.
- The Main Character comes off like a Villain.
- Supporting Cast Of Characters feels like something she pulled from the Reject shop an come off as uninteresting as Gail Simone’s Storytelling.
Afterthoughts
The key Idea of the 1st issue is to establish a solid connection between the audience & the main character.
None of that happened in this story, I enjoyed the artwork, the story committed suicide, it crashed & burned.
With the gang she could have used a multi-ethnic gang which was connected to a drug lord in the area, with Gail Simone’s cowardice she buckled her legs & fell flat to make them a group of white people.
So Gail Simone are you telling me, you want the Death Defying Devil to beat the crap out of you because your a White Person care of this comic, because you bowed your head to worship a certain political spectrum.
Great Job in failing to keep to your convictions in wanting to write good stories, an earn money for them.

- Cover:8.5/10(Great pose, was used similar in story, worth at least $2aud)
- Art:7.5/10(enjoyed the art in some places, felt like it needed some work, I feel sorry that you have to work under Gail Simone, who use to right some wonderful stories, Art worth $1.50aud for effort)
- Story:0/10(This could’ve had great potential, yet no real hard work of thought went into this story, worth Zero Dollars & Cents)
